Philippe Jabre speaks at ESA’s opening lecture for the academic year

To mark the start of the 2024 academic year, the École Supérieure des Affaires (ESA) welcomed Philippe Jabre as guest speaker for its inaugural lecture, in a conversation moderated by Frédéric Picard, editor-in-chief of Figaro.fr and faculty member at ESA.

In front of an audience of students and faculty, Philippe Jabre reflected on his professional journey, his commitments, and the challenges of a shifting global economic landscape. The session gave rise to an open exchange around key themes such as transmission, responsibility, and education.
A feature on this event appears in the April 2025 issue of ESA’s journal, L’ESActus.

ESA had the honour of hosting Philippe Jabre—an iconic figure in global finance, described as a 'City legend' by the Financial Times—for the school’s inaugural lecture, in conversation with Frédéric Picard, editor-in-chief of Figaro.fr and professor at ESA. A rare opportunity for students to engage with an inspiring personality, and a way to open the year under the banner of ambition, energy, and openness.
